    Having trouble pouring some jigs

I have a weedless poisontail mold and I was pouring a few tonight, all was going good and then all a sudden I couldn't get a complete pour... The bottom half of the mold wasn't filling w lead, I didn't change the temp or anything... I tried 20ish straight that wouldn't completely fill... Any ideas what im doing? I have my bottom pour pot at level 7 setting.

You can preheat the mold with a heat gun and smoke the cavities of the mold also

Pot needs to be on highest temp, clean spout for a faster pour, Make sure the mold is vented good at the hook.

Sorry guys... Still fairly new at this... I preheat the mold but smoke it?? Hold an open flame to the mold? How do I vent the mold by the hook?

Take a candle and let it smoke the cavities...the soot will coat the cavities of the mold.

If you were getting a complete pour for a while, and now it is not pouring well, then we know the mold is hot enough because you were getting a complete pour at first. I have had the same issue, and one thing that I try to do is keep the mold directly against the spout of the pot. Sometimes the lead will cool too much by the time it gets to the collar/keeper part of the mold. Try this, and let us know how it goes.

What kind of lead are you using? If its tire weights that could be the problem
