I had an issue with water pressure last year and the plate under the impellor was worn and had rotated inside the housing a little. This was restricting some of the volume of water causing it to lose som pressure. I would also check that. You can buy the whole wp housing in a kit. Also check the pee hole for dirt dobbers with a peice of wire or a straightened fish hook.

The stem on the old style poppit valves was prone to getting seized by the grommet seal. Yamaha came out with a new redesigned PRV (poppit) that's mushroom headed and doesn't use a stem thru the grommet design. Install this new style poppit and a new gasket. Also check your thermostats and make sure they open and close to spec. Always use new gaskets and a proper torque wrench when re-installing. Do you have a water pressure gauge installed?

I ordered the new style poppit thingy....and sadly no I dont have a water psi gauge installed but I do have one ordered and it will be there next time i put it on the water. It inda felt like it was stuck in the rubber bushing when i pulled it out
