    Question Tungsten Weights

I have about 100 tungsten weights that have no paint on them. Due to excessive fishing, the manufactured paint has chipped off. Now I am left with naked weights. I have used the weights without paint and I don't seem to catch as many fish. I have tried to paint the weights but the paint comes off easy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to paint these weighs???

If you heat them with a torch to red hot as they cool they will turn black(ish). Aaron Martens has an instructional video showing how to use shrink tubing to replace the line protecting sleeve.

I powder coat mine and use the Aaron Martens shrink tube technique to replace the insert. first you have to use sandblast them with aluminum oxide or scuff them with sand paper next I use .051 wire to keep the paint out of the line tube in the weight make a hook on one end to hang it with and a small kink on the other end to keep it from falling off I heat mine to 400 degrees and then dip them in powder paint I then cure them for 20 minutes at 400 degrees this paint wont chip or flake ever I let them cool then cut the small kink off and heat the wire with a torch to melt the powder coat and pull the wire out
