250 hpdi at idle

what should a 07 250 hpdi idle in gear and out of gear mine is is 7 to 8 hundred in gear and 8 to 900 out of gear, seems alittle fast...

Mine idles at around 600-700 out of gear and 700-800 in gear. I would not want to go in and out of gear at 800-900 rpms. I would think that might wear on the gears. But then again, I'm not a mechanic

Same with my 250, 600 to 700 at idle

Spec is +/- 30 @ 700 rpms.

min also idles high, do you adjust it at the butterfly stop screw, or pull the linkage and adjust there?
