I have a question that has been buggin me for quite some time now, and I think you guys are just the ones that can probably help me out. I was wondering how, if there is any real way, to know when your engine is really broken in. I have seen some posts were people say that after 50 or 60 hours they finally had their's broke in, but yamaha claims that after 10 hours it is ready to go. How do you know and what differences in the engine can you tell before and after break -in?

I bought mine with 10 hours already on the motor because I could not take the pressure of waiting to break it in myself

FACT The lake I broke my in on takes 3 minutes w/o to go from dam to to the low water area. I shut the trail off my GPS I was afraid I'd get dizzy looking at it.
