    10 hr service question?

Its almost time for my 10hr service 150 yamaha VMAX Carb. Can I do this myself without affecting my warrenty. I was going to change the LU oil, plugs and check the fuel filter. If I keep all the reciepts will this affect my warrenty? I dont want to take a chance, but hate paying all that labor cost, when I can do it myself. thanks in advance

One thing they'll want to do is check head torque. Better take it in. Do your own lower unit it's so simple a cave man could do it

Re: 10 hr service question? (oldranger)

I'm big on doing my own service work, but I have allways paid for the 1st service just to make sure nothing is wrong, then I'll do it, when I can
With the prices now adays its hard to pay someone 100.00 a hr to do the little stuff

Oh can someone tell me how to change the LU Oil

I don't recall seeing head bolt torquing in the manual.

When Hydro Tec replaced my heads Jon said that was the main thing they wanted to check. This was a free service from them.
