Problem with Tilt/Trim on 1997 Yamaha S200TXRV

Just wondering if anyone had ever the same problem and knew the solution.
Tilt/Trim pump was sounding like it was maybe cavitating when I raised motor, so I raised full up to check fluid level in reservoir, added maybe an ounce of atf to reservoir. When I went to lower motor it will not go back down. Motor/pump running in up and down switch position, just no movement form motor. If anyone has some ideas I sure would appreciate the help.

This is going to sound crazy, but did you turn down the motor support when you were adding fluid and forget to turn it back up?

Another thought, have you tried to unscrew the manual release screw to see if the engine would lower manually?
