    EFI or HPDI

    I am looking at a boat that has a 2004 Yamaha 250 V-Max 3.1 EFI. Is this better than the HPDI version?

    We it kinda depends on what you consider better, the EFI was pretty much bullet proof, but it loves the gas and oil. The HPDI is a bigger block 3.3l vs 3.1l it gets better gas MPG and uses less oil. The HPDI also has the nosecone gear case!
