I have never had a prop that had to be beat on by a rubber hammer to get off????????
I put plenty of grease on the shaft and washers as well as the splines. I pull prop every six month to inspect for line and change LU oil.
I usually just snug down the prop nut like I have every boat I have ever had and no problems with them.
Ideas???????????? 2005 115/yamaha prop

I would change the thrust washer and see if that makes a differences. They make different ones and yours may be the wrong one for the prop that you are running.
Boat still under warranty, going to dealer next month and going to bring it to there attention..
