Im thinking I'm gonna need a new impellar pretty soon, I just bought this boat and it seems like the water pressure is a little low, only at 5K or above do I see 14+ psi. It doesn't get hot, but that just seems a little low. Also, no I don't have P-P measurements yet but I know its not extremely high b/c at WOT I get very little tail and top speed so far is only around 68 or so. So my ? is what is the normal psi for this motor?

What's the pressure when you're running wide open? With the water and air temps in the 80's, I'm getting about 18 psi when I'm wide open. In the cooler months, my pressure is around 22 or 24. So, the temps do play a part in your readings and also, how accurate are our gauges? My gauge may be 2-4 psi different than yours, who knows.
Just be sure you're above 14 at WOT and I believe you'll be fine.
I may get in trouble for saying this, but here goes. If you take good care of your engine (don't EVER run it out of the water, and don't get mud/sand/weeds in it), then that impeller should last a long time. Mine is three years old and I don't plan to change it for another two years, unless I notice a big drop in pressure or accidentally run the boat into a sand bar.
welcome to the world of HPDI water pressure. 14 is still plenty. when the water temp gets over 80 the water pressure drops in the hpdi's. Well i know it does on my 04 224HPDI. during the winter i run around 25. I do know there is a new stile poppit valve that is supposed to remedi this. I have not tried it. If i could get the part number i would be willing to try it
