    Getting her dialed in...Hydro Tech??

I just had some prop and lower unit work done by Robbie Patterson (Propeller Dynamics/Lee Sanderson). This big ol heavy rig can now see 75 with one person. Before taking the boat to Robbie, 70-71 was the best wot. Im very pleased with the results. The prop is a blueprinted 25 T-1. The boat/motor was purchased new in December and I have about 20 hours on it.

Im headed back to my hometown of Springfield, Mo for a week but unfortunately cannot take the rig with me. I will however try to contact the good folks in Nixa (Hydro Tech) and see what else can be done with the HPDI.

Sure is a lot of fun dialing these rigs in. Once I got the Allison running where I wanted her to run, I scared myself and sold it

This Champion is a whole different beast and one helluva fishing platform!

Small World, Springfield is my home town as well.. I just picked up my Ranger with the 200HPDI that they installed the High Comp heads and Carbon Reeds in for me. Great bunch of guys. Nathan is on top of the game with these Yamaha's. I only have the first 5 hrs of break in on mine so I can't say to what she will do yet. Give me another 5 hrs and I will run her like a striped ass ape. It does seem to be a little more responsive though.

I say Phase 2 all the way..

Jeff, I left in 1978 (went to Parkview). Daughter now goes to Mo State (SMS). If you remember Leong's Tea House (inventor of cashew chicken), their son is now a Navy Doctor and serving aboard my ship. He's a full Commander so my attempts at pulling rank on him and getting the recipe have not gone well...

Jeff, Im on the USS CARL VINSON (nuclear powered aircraft carrier). This will be my last ship before retiring at 30 years. I leave here in a few months for shore duty.

Im seriously considering retiring back in the Ozarks. Its just too crowded on the east coast and I really miss fishing the Niangua, Bull Shoals, LOZ, etc.

Sounds like a interesting assignment. I know what you mean, I lived in California for 4-5 years and there is no way I wanted to rais a family there.. It is nice but it is a Rat Race. There is nothing like the clear water of the Ozarks. I think I am fihing a mud puddle every time I go out here.

Good luck with your Ret. I am sure you will find much more time to fish inthe near future.
