    LE-21 Setup with 225 Pro-XS

My partner has a 2006 LE-21 with 225 ProXS and hes trying to get the setup right. He tried a 24 Fury at 4.0 below and hit just under 69 at 5950 with tournament load. Ran a B&B 25 Tempest Plus at 3.5 and blew it out on holeshot (light load and tournament load) and hit 6000 without getting into it. He also tried a 25 Fury at 3.5 and blew it out as well and hit 6100 (light load) without fully getting into it and ran slower than the 24 at 4.0 below. Thinking about lowering it back down to see if itll get the speed back and not blowout, what do you guys suggest he do?

Stick to the 24 if loaded out. The LE-21 is a great boat, but it is no speed demon with out a lot of prop work. Stick with the 24 at 4" below pad, and trim up sloooow. Should be a 70mph boat. Of course adjust for elevation and heat. Being in AZ you have both.

Mine runs best with the 25 Fury at 3.5 below. I can floor mine and trim up as fast as I want with no blowout. This is at full vent. No plugs. Same for the 25 Tempest. Both props achieved the same top end, but the Fury w/added tip cup had the best hole shot and mid range. I want to get a 24 Fury for the summer. Sounds like it is doing well on his. If he is blowing out, he may need to buy a few PVS plugs and adjust the vent system. Once he settles on a prop, he should have it B&B and add some tip cup.

Thanks Guys. Its my LE-21 CKremer was talking about. Stil trying to get it dialed in.. I have another post from earlier this year on what it turned at elevation. Living here in AZ I/we know to well what the heat does to these babies.

I did try a new 25 P Fury and a 25 P Tempest Plus. Had a lot of blow out. Seems to like the Fury better but had to lower the motor height down a 1/4". Ran it again last weekend with 3/4 main tank a tourney load and a non-boater. Was at 1530' elevation in early morning with 83+ water temps. Wasn't real impressed.

Think getting the 25 B&B'd will help. But for an everyday prop I believe I'll go back to the 24 Fury. Either way, Ineed more bow lift.

    Thanks
