2005 4 stroke cowling touch up

anyone have a color and or technique to touch up some small scratches on my 2005 250 4 stroke cowling?

How big are the scratches?

1 to 2 inches long and not wide at all. It came from a little unintentional contact with a piling covered in barnacles while tautog fishing

Hello Garth - I recommend checking your local auto parts store for touch up paint. There are a few gray metallics which should be close in color. Fill the scratch, then gently wipe over with a lint free rag to pick up the excess paint. This will leave the paint in the scratch. Slightly dampening the rag with solvent also helps. A little trial and error will probably be needed.

There is a GM color which is real close, but I do not remember the number. Most auto stores carry the DupliColor brand of touch up paint. Take your time with it and don't press too hard when wiping. How's the F250 running for you?
