How many completely satisfied Yamaha owner are there?

I am just posting this due to another thread out there that has a fellow boater re-thinking his decision to get a Yamaha engine on his new boat.
I would just like to hear from some guys that are completely happy with their Yamaha engines. Please state the Year, HP, & type of engine too (carbed, OX66, HPDI, 2-stroke, 4-stroke, etc.). Thanks....Robert

Oh yeah...I'm on my 3rd Yamaha. 2006 200HP HPDI. I have been very happy with all three so-far. I did have one friend with a Lemon motor. It was a 2004 225hpdi. (replaced powerhead twice). Yamaha ended up putting a brand-new 2006 engine on his boat (100% free of charge). He is the only person I know personally who has had any major issues with a Yamaha (and I know LOTS of Yamaha owners).

I have had a 1965 evenrude IO, good motor, a 1968 merc 125 that sucked, a 1990 mariner 25 that was very good, and now a 1996 yamaha 150 carbed base model. I am the third owner I know of and it has been ran hard by everyone. Still it is a great motor, all original. Only problem I have is keeping the trim working right.

Have an '04 F-150 Yamaha that I use at least four times a month for 4-8 hours or fishing year round and pull the grand kids on tubes and skis in season. Totally bullet proof. Always starts first turn of the key, even in sub freezing temps, change oil once a year, sips regular gasoline and practically no maintenance. A super dependable engine.

My first was 03 Yamaha F25, Then a 01 F115, a 04 F150 and working on a 06 250 HPDI All great motors No problems with any of them. The F150 will run with and stock Yamaha 150 maybe a little better but the 250 HPDI is one tuft horse, easy on gas and oil.

1984 40 hp, 1985 ProV 150, and the 2003 225 OX66. I blew number 5 cylinder on the 150 in 1990, that's when I learned to de-carbon. Rebuilt it myself with the help of a Yamaha book from the library. That was a $2,000 job that I did myself for under $500. Oh, and that included machine shop work and a re-sleeve.

Had 03 225 ox66 on a 521 and it was a stong motor and never had any problems with it!

I now have a 06 225 HPDI and love it, keep these motors maintained and they will last a long time!

1991 Pro-V 150. I've owned it for five years. No idea of the hours. Starts flawlessly every time and runs at 5700 rpm all day. I do nothing more than run Yamaha oil and Ring Free in it, new plugs in the spring after running the fogger out of it.
