    New Yammies to go !!!

Just talked to my Yamaha service center and they have NEW YAMAHA 225,s on the showroom floor. TY Trail owns TRAILS service center and is the head mechanic for the Yamaha International Race team and goes all over the country with Yamaha. His engines turn up to 9000 rpms and that is balls to wall for 85 miles. Will see him tomorrow and drull all over a 250 HPDI. Jim

    Jim....

Can he get me 7000 rpms and a couple of thousand hours before CLABOOOOMEY??

The 250 HPDI is a rush on our boat, be sure to go to a 10" plate if you do it though, and be ready for the back end to sit even lower....

    Peace,
    Don<><

I don't want my yammie to spin 9K to go fast... I want a 350 hp at 5800 please. OK, Maybe 6500.

Yeah if a 250 can run 78-80 at 6000-6200 why does it take 9000 to run 85? Are you sure that's not 105?

Don Yamaha sends him complete rotating assemblies, crank, rods, pistons that have been tested up to 10,000 rpms. He put this in a 2.6 block that he put on his Allison. Don,t know what it would cost but would bet $5000 wouldn,t cover it. When they get thru with all the cutting with the CNC machine there is more motor on the floor than under the cowling. Believe the exhaust tuner and fiberglas reeds c

ombined with the recreational heads would be a good starting spot. Later Jim
