25hp E-TEC's already out?

A dealer(not even listed on Evinrude's website) claims he has three of these motors, but isn't allowed to show them yet. I know this guy is full of B.S., he seems to have more money than sense.

I don't know about the dealer you are speaking of having a 25 E-Tec but I have a 300HO V-8 at the shop......Here's a picture of me standing next to it....

I think you are right in your assumption that this dealer is full of it, if he had them.....he Would/Could not talk about them.

I believe that Bombardier will announce several new E-TEC motors at the Miami International Boat Show later this month. It has been mentioned that E-TEC motors in the lower horsepower range will be among the new motors.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand all of the "I got a secret" hooey going on with BRP. OK, we all know they are bringing out lower hp E-TEC motors; what's the big *Oh, I can't talk about that*...

If they are having problems, they are having problems. If they try and hide it, and get secretive about it... folks like me remember FICT motors and the *secrets*... So personally I think HPDI's are looking better every day. Those ProXS motors are looking pretty sweet also... It's all about be open and up front.

Anyone out there looking at a new boat will not wait 6 months for them to think about saying they have thought about a release date but it's been delayed and we'll tell you when they are going to be released but only after they are actually released because it's a secret that we are going to release them and as a matter of fact it's a secret that we even mentioned it's a secret that we might be developing a secret motor.

The "little" E-TECs are still in development. This "dealer" is yanking your chain.

Like Jim stated, they're scheduled to be introduced at the Miami show, but just like prior releases of the E-TEC engines, the 25 & 30 are about a year out.

I guess you were not one of those who waited almost 9 months for a 4-stroke Yamaha 225, 8 months for an F250, or even one of those who had almost a 2 year wait for a Verado !!!

Stuff gets delayed... we all know that. Having the balls to admit it's delayed -- BONUS POINTS and good business. Trying to play *I got a secret* and (a classic from earlier) *Even if they had one they couldn't talk about it* (or something like that...). Um, not only no bonus points, but loss of a possible sale because of the companies choice to play games instead of conduct business. I'm pretty straight forward when it comes to stuff like this... it's pretty much Lead, Follow or get the H*ll out of the way! There is NO room for maybe...
