    Grease nipples

Does anyone know what size are the grease nipples on the motor bracket under
part number 93700-06M03-00? Mine just snapped off and I need to get
a replacement ASAP and our Yamaha dealers don't carry that part. I'm sure
I could get a replacement in a automotive shop but I don't know the exact size.

    It's part 23 on this link http://www.yamaha-motor.com/ou....aspx

    I think it's a 1/8, but I'm not sure.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

They are metric for sure, had to replace the one on the lower unit and it was metric.

Just remove the other one and take to the auto parts store and have them match it up.

    Re: Grease nipples (kk4iz)

Thanks Guys. I found the size and went to an auto part store last night....

I had the broken part with me and no one was sure about the size, so I bought 1/4 inch and 6mm. As I tough due the the part number, it was the 6mm that fit properly.

I know my 2000 Johnson 225 HO motor pretty good, and now I will start to know this new engine.

    Have a great day.
