    Trim function help needed

Gents, lately my trim appears to be acting strange. When the boat is not on plane the trim raises and lowers fine. But when I am on step it appears to take longer to trim the engine down than it does to trim up. 150 V max. Any past experience or ideas?

I have not timed it but I would say roughly 8 to 10 seconds. It also seems that as I am slowing down the motor speed begins to increase.

Slowing down...as in removing throttle? I'm going W-A-Y out into right field on this, but how is your battery condition, and the connections? Also, could there be a problem with the engine charging system?

Someone with a much broader knowledge of electrical problems needs to tackle this.

The battery voltage is great. It almost seems that the trim motor is having trouble overcoming the force associated with the water. IE going up the water is assisting the motor and down the trim motor has to fight the additional pressure associated with being on step. When at rest the times are roughly equal.
