96 150 Intruder ignition switch kill switch?

Can anyone give me the wiring diagram to a 96 278 Stratos (Intruder 150hp) ignition switch. I am not getting spark and know it's in the switch, a few moths ago I posted and I now i need a new one but was wondering what terminals are the kill switch. Thers seems to be 2 yellow wires under the dash that plug into the switch and the connector for the switch. This switch doesnt have screw termials but about 12" of wire than a 6 coneector black plug that plugs int the harness. Any help appreciated. Twice i hot wired it by putting 12v pos to the purple wire attached to the A terminal this would give me spark regardless of the safty cord on and some times it would run with the safty wire off. I just need to get back to the ramp.

Re: 96 150 Intruder ignition switch kill switch? (StratosDadRI)

I don't have a wiring diagram I can post or e-mail, maybe this will help..

Key switch wiring is typically this:

Red w/purple stripe = Battery + (terminal B on key sw)
Purple = Hot when key on (terminal A)
Purple w/white stripe = choke (activates when key on and pushed in) (terminal C)
    Yellow w/red stripe = Start (terminal S)
Black w/yellow stripe = stop circuit (terminal M)
Black (sometimes black w/white stripe) = ground (terminal M)

Doesn't matter which black wire goes to which M terminal...

thamks when you refer to the stop black/yellow wire you mean kill the motor? how dows the kill circuit work? breaks 12v to a spark device or does it ground out spark like on a small gas engine where it actually just grounds out?

with a ohm meter to my black wire and black/yellow wire it is always shorted regarless of the kill switch clip being on or off. I'm thinking this is probably causing me no spark.
