Have a question re the Evinrude Ltd Edtn 1996 200Hp engines, I have a line on one that is in mint condition with low hours, Wondering what the difference is between this engine, what makes it some ltd etc. I have a 1998 Evinrude 225 Vindicator , are they about the same or what.I have heard they the Ltd Edtns have perf. carbs just not sure what the Horsepower diff. between the 2 Engines is.

I have a 92 200 limited edition and from what I gather it has the 225 carbs on it and that's what make it a LE. I would guess it's a 225hp motor and maybe that's why it doesn't say 200 on it anywhere??

According to the specs the motors should be really close to each other but I have come across a 200LTD that was much hotter than any 225 omc ever made and it was stock. It had an 8100 rpm rev liliter and would push an STV over 100 mph with a 29" SRX spinning 7400+ rpm with the VRO still hooked up! This is the way this motor was delivered to the dealer from the factory. If I ever get my new biz to humm I am going to buy it!

What does the manual say the recommended rpm range is for the LE?
