I just had my boat out after a 4 month break and noticed at 3000-4000 rpm my water prussure was going from 3-7 and at wot it was 17 never did this before .

Problem solved , replaced water pump and pop off valve gromet and presurre is 7 at 3200 and 22 psi at 5800 . never seen this high even with a new pump last year .

When installing a COMPLETE water pump kit, it's not uncommon to see a relatively substantial increase in water pressure.
It will likely "tame down" after a couple of trips to the lake.
Over the years, this particular pump has become more efficient, presumably due to a migration in the casting of the pump housing.![]()
