Jameson Inn, Exit 212 Henderson NC. has all the eating close. Super Walmart. Groc Stores. Boat parking a lil tight but tourny guys stay there all the time.

Where NOT to stay...Americas Best Value off exit 215. That place is beyond the word DUMP.

Our Federation uses lodging in South Hill. Pretty good set-ups with great parking and electrical. Is the South Hill area out of question?

I second the Jamerson, get reservations early. Stay away from Scottish Inn and most hotels in that general area.

Where ever you stay, unload your boat of all tackle and take it in the room with you. Henderson is known for thieves showing up at the tournaments. Not trying to scare you or run down Henderson, but it has happened quite often at the larger tournaments. I believe the crooks and crackheads have all of the tournament schedules and time their activities accordingly.

I would only use the bigger ramps, like the one at the dam or in butternut. The little ones are a thieves haven..... Same with the motels at southhill......Last time I stayed in the Quality inn, a couple props when missing inthe Night. Its the one place I always fear getting ripped off........ So the last two times we rented a house for the week.

Plenty of national hotels, Hampton, Marriot, Holiday Inn. In Henderson I will stay at those only.

A couple of the hotels supposedly have security in the parking lots throughout the night. I have never had any problems in South Hill, but I could see it happening. And of course I was not there in a BFL tournament.

I just stayed at the Jameson Inn in Henderson last week. Was very clean, convenient and nice. Parking is a bit tight for boats but doable. There were several outside outlets scattered around the front and sides so you might want a extra extension cord. Rooms 100 to 110 are close to a exit and ice.

Sounds like fun. I have only been to Hendrson/Kerr one time in 1992. Went in a convenient store and the cashier was behind bars taking your order. Like a walk up carry out. Sounds like a fun place to visit. Thanks for the feedback
