Had mine for 3 years, no problems. Paint seems to chip a lil easier but that's the only thing i have noticed over stock.

I like mine. Tournament fishing voids warranty.

My experiances with sei arent any good. On my Yamaha, I spun a bearing in the original, and ins paid for a new lower unit..ok problems starts there. First unit that comes in leaks around the driveshaft. Badly, never makes it to the water. Next one that comes in about a month later is busted up from transit but nothing that cant be fixed so the mechanic tries to mount it to my engine and it is nowhere close to fitting up so back it goes....another month later i get another that leaks around the driveshaft. I fought with them people for an entire summer. Not satisfied at all, and my mechanic wont use them anymore due to my experiances.

You still get three times the warranty that comes with that "well made" factory unit. On my budget it was an easy choice, my warranty is up and if it goes out tomorrow, I'm still way ahead by ordering another one.

You are right, 3x teh warranty at 1/3rd the cost. that means you are covered for 9 years for the same money as opposed to one year for an OEM. no brainer....

My 3rd replacement unit is supposed to ship out tomorrow and I am about 3 months into my warranty period. The first made it 2.5 hours, the second 10.3, and I will see how long the third is going to last. The customer service has been very good and I can't complain about that at all. The have turned the unit around in about a week both times. both have had pinion bearing failures, I am hoping that this one last because I am tired of breaking in lower units.
    Thanks, Nate
