    2000 225 Efi Question

so this year I decided to NOT take my boat to the mechanic before winter as i had only used the boat a grand total of 5 times last year. When I last ran the boat it had a good fuel cocktail mix, and has sit with basically no fuel, nothing will else will pump out. I am going to change the lower unit oil, fuel water seperator myself, but anything else I should do other than good fuel and fuel treatment?

The following post was written for the Optimax models- but everything in it is applicable to your engine as well (except for references to the Air Compressor, Compressor Filter, and Strainer):

Okay so doing some math in my head, I am a little over the 45 day storage, SO anything other than adding the oil I should do to prevent damage? Not sure the shop I use does this, but you can be sure I will be checkig/doing it from now on.

Properly stabilized fuel (engine run long enough under LOAD- in the water to get that stabilized fuel up through the system)... and all applicable items from:
