Depends on the year of the Merc....I believe all the manufacturers followed suit with the same bolt pattern around 1984. So as long as you're talking about a newer Merc...then yes.

Of course, also important is that the holes were originally LOCATED CORRECTLY... and straight.
We often find when removing an OMC engine (to repower with a Merc) that the holes are off by about 1/8", for which there's really no excuse.
Best means of checking is to utilize the transom DRILLING FIXTURE (any Mercury Dealer that installs engines should have one of these on hand).![]()
