2001 optimax 200 loss of rpms and slow on plane

been running perfectly fine. made several long idles due to low water conditions then jumped right up on plane. fished a spot then cranked up idled out and the motor warmed up tried to get on plane and it took a long time and then would only get to about 5000 rpm at wot vs the normal 5600-5700. I did notice a slight vibration like one cylinder was not firing or like a fouled plug acts. It even died at idle once or twice on the way back in. I then idled in and went to the store and bought a cheaper set of autolite iridium plugs to test it since I figured I might foul them anyway. I took a timing light and it seems I have spark on all plugs. I borrowed a compression guage and i have equal compression on the cylinders plus or minus a few pounds. the pic attached is of the autolite plugs after running on the hose for about 15 minutes or so checking the spark and a test run to see if it was just plugs. the picture shows the 2,4,6 cylinder plugs from top to bottom on the left and the 1,3,6 cylinder plugs on the right. I did not smell any gas on the 2 cylinder, but it appears to me that is the problem cylinder. Maybe bad injector?

Wrong plugs. See this link, pinned at top of forum.

Then I'd look at the reeds.

Doesn't look like a lean burn, it looks like no burn...i'd check the coil.

    David:

DON'T run those plugs in your motor- EVER:

    http://www.bbcboards.net/zerothread?id=729574

I'm assuming you've made a typo... as from your text, you have two spark plugs in #6, and NONE in #5.

Working solely from the pictures, it appears that #2 is not firing AT ALL. Possible causes (outside of a compression problem) would include:

-Lack of Spark (coil, coil driver, coil wire, spark plug)
    -Reed Failure on #2
-Failed or Plugged Direct Injector (MAY NOT be #2)
-Failed or Plugged #2 fuel injector
    -Failing AIR PRESSURE Regulator
-Lack of proper AIR PRESSURE (compressor or leak in air system)
    -Pulse fuel pump diaphram RUPTURED

I would check the AIR and FUEL pressures next... while running at idle, and immediately AFTER shutdown. Watch to see how fast air pressure drops off (pressures at 30 seconds, and again at 60 seconds after shutdown).

DEFINITELY get the CORRECT IZFR5G plugs in that engine.
