How reliable is a 300 pro max. And how much gas will it burn vs a 225. Thanks

I hear they are as reliable as a XB and use about the same on gas!!!!They are tough engines....So if it's been taken care of it should last many ,many hrs....

    Re: 300 pro max (BULLETRM)

Hopefully I can tell you in a month or so. I have a 300 promax on my bullet. The guy I got it from said it was fast but wasn't as bad on gas as you'd think. I currently just have it bolted to the jackplate. Once I get my hydraulic steering and everything else hooked up on the motor I'll let you know or if your ever around lake guntersville I could show you in person.

Good motor.Just make sure it has the one piece stainless drive shaft. The two piece steel shaft had pitting issues,in turn causing seal problems.
