    lowest ethenol free octane you should run in a merc race motor

    hey,have a 2001 mercury 200xs and i"m curious because i would like to run ethenol free gasoline and the only source close by has 90 octane only,would like a 93. is there that big of a performance drop from 93 to 90? is it bad for the motor? just thought i'd seek some advice thanks alot

    Consult your engine owner's manual for MINIMUM OCTANE SPECIFICATION.

    According to the service manual, under Specifications: 92 Octane MINIMUM
