I just repowered my boat with a 2012 pro xs,my old motor was a 06 pro xs,everything is working great,except I cant get the trim reading to come up on the smartcraft monitor ? I have the programming manual, and have programmed the trim function & calibration several times,wireing all looks good, the only thing I noticed,"is the sending unit looks different than my 06 motor,the monitor is the original 06, could that be the problem ?.......
You need the digital trim sender. I went through the same thing on my 09. Don can fix you up.
Lebob is absolutely right. For some reason the Pro XS comes with an analog trim sender when the motors have been Smartcraft equipped for several years. It just doesn't seem logical to me why they do this.

As many of the ProXS series of engines are going on Bass Boats, most of which are already equipped with ANALOG gauges.... the decision was made to outfit the engine with an ANALOG sender during production.
You'll need a Part# 859187A1 Digital Trim Sender.
