Are there any issues with this year motor? Also, would there be any concerns with purchasing this motor, new on a non-current boat that has never been run before. Just sat on the showroom floor for 2 years.

You could end up saving a bunch of money on a great motor. I'd just have the dealer give it a little prep before picking it up.
Certainly no arguments (issues).
No problems to note, either.![]()
I would strongly recommend that the water pump impeller be replaced BEFORE the engine is placed in service (REQUIRED if the engine is 2 or more years past date of manufacture, even with ZERO hours).
You should receive a full warranty on this engine, if indeed it's new. In such a case, we can also assist you with Product Protection plan upgrades (at a BBC discounted price).![]()

+1 what Don said, I've got a 2010 250 and it runs great, although I did have a problem with the WP splitting and the flywheel nearly coming off, but both were warranty and no other problems
I bought a 200 opti with a manufacted date April 2008 in March 2010. Got the full warranty, Dealer included new water pump, new ethanol resistant fuel lines and rigging. I saved about $4000.00. Love the motor!
