Help Don ,need peace of mind,200 Optimax

Help Don looks like I will have to tow to dealership Monday.Saturday went to lake .200 regular Optimax DOB 8-8 serial # 1B699255..Lake temp was 54 degrees.I have a Merc Monitor and watch temps religously . Idled until 126 for@ 5 min .planed out then ran about 3800 for @ 1/2 mile, made a pass testing a new prop.ran great 5630@ 70 gps.Idled 5 min raising plate 1/4 inches..next pass only turned 5500.stoped to check and makes sure I moved plate up and not down..Engine died,thought I pulled kill switch,never had an issue with this baby 109 hrs.. tried again, 5320-then backed down to 5230, stopped and it died again.. then I planed out and ran slow on plane to ramp 3-5 min. stopped and it died again..restarted at ramp,evident miss..Took hood off #6 coil wire looks to have been arching at the bend before the boot at the plug..Do I have a bad coil? If I lost a cylinder which one would likely go?I dont tournament fish.always adhere to your recomendations on cold start and shutdown temps..Many THANKS in advance for your time and expertise.

I would say to start with the obvious problem FIRST. Replace the bad plug wire.

An arching plug wire will present with almost identical symptoms to a bad coil (loss of power).

Strongly recommend that an Auto Self Test- (Plugs OUT of Cylinder Head) be performed, just to verify that all coils are firing during the test.

If any coil fails to fire during the above test, your dealer should reference SB 2009-026.
