Need to install a fuse for my new mercmonitor?

I tied in the power to my master key switch on the console, should I fuse this and if so, what size fuse? Thanks

I have a question. Is your motor a PROXS? If so ,then you do not need to wire it to your key. It is powered up when you key up but controlled back from the motor.

No additional fuse required. This red power wire is a switched-power, made available to the NMEA-2000 network ONLY.

Most MercMonitors already have a fuse in this circuit (it's usually in a fuse holder on the MercMonitor's harness).
