What paint should I use in the bilge?

I'm just about done with my light resto project on the newer to me '89 Champ, about to dive into the bilge to remove the batteries and gas tank to install my transducer. One feature I do not like about both my Champs is the carpeting in the bilge compartment, as it gets older it starts pulling away and hanging all over as well as holds moisture when the bilge gets wet (with the amount of fishing we do on Ontario it gets wet often). So I'm looking at removing the carpet and just painting the interior surfaces.

I'm looking for input regarding type and/or prands of paint to use in this application. Thanks!

I think 3-4 coats is fine. The amount of coats will be determined what size Bilge you have. I think 1 qt will be plenty for your bilge.

Put some white gel coat in it. Pick up a can of webbing solution, along with some small cans of gel, the same as the color of the boat, blue ,yellow whatever it is. You can put the white down with a brush, the webbing solution will have to be sprayed.

This stuff is awesome! Look online, I found a gallon for around $54. I saw prices as highs $100. We did two coats and a gallon was plenty.
