    Welcome to BBC!

Sorry.... no video on that currently.

What engine are you removing the cowling from?

Re: spark plug replacement in a optimax (EuropeanAM)

Thanks for your reply. I am putting new plugs in my 07 pro xs 250. How many bolts to open up the lower cowling. Or is there any tricks to removing lower cowling? Thanks Bill

The link below has detailed instructions on how to remove the lower cowling.

Also, if you have the dreaded mid-range rattle that ALOT of ProXS owners are/were experiencing then I would suggest following the rest of the instructions while you have the cowling off...

Do you have to remove the lower cowling on a 225 Pro XS to change plugs?

Re: spark plug replacement in a optimax (lwlittle)

    Leonard:

Plugs CAN be changed without removing the lower cowlings.

HOWEVER.... I would strongly recommend removing the cowlings if you've not done a number of plug sets. This makes access of the #5 & #6 spark plugs a lot easier, lessening the chances that you'll strip the threads.
