    Question for you...

Looked at a 1995 Champion 202 DCX this morning. It has a 1996 Mercury XRi 225 HP outboard on it. I tried to pull up a NADA estimate on it, and it shows retail at $6000 or so??!! Anyhow, this is a private seller and the boat is in Missouri!!!! He was originally asking $12500 for it and while I was there, he told me his bottom dollar was $10500. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

You are showing the same NADA I just looked at. Average retail is $5590 and high retail is $6420. You should add a bit for the year newer motor but you still have a hard time getting to $10,500. Lenders have a hard time with boats over 10 model years. Chances are slim on this one, age and loan to value are working against it. If this is the boat you want, you would be better off getting a personal loan at your local bank or CU but still work on the price. Let me know how we can help.
    Thanks,
