Went out to the Fox R the past couple days and the fihsing is awesome right now. The smallies are migrating to their non-existant spawning grounds (water is way too low), the walleyes are biting pretty good, and the whitebass are running. All I did was find points with rock where the channel swings from shore across the river and there were fish there. The cool thing was fishing between these areas the whitebass kept us occupied. Fish was good at Wilmot bridge Thurs, and moved north Fri, and I'd imagine that since the water is staying in the 50's the smallies will just keep going up river.
All fish were caught in 1/4oz traps, and 1/4oz squarebills in chart/black, and american shad. Caught 28 smallies, probably over 100 whitebass, and 8 walleye. Pretty good for crappy mudhole of a river.
