    adjusting photos in photoshop?

In the past some of the pics looked pixelated as i was using the zoom feature in CS4 to bring the subject in closer. In this pic I cropped the subjects and then increased the resolution from 300 to 500. Does the final photo look pixelated? If so then how does one adjust a photo to bring the subject in closer?
    thanks in advance.

Looks great to me. No pixelation (is that an actual word?)

Not sure but even if it's not, we all understand what we're talking about. Thanks for the reply.

Your pixilation is from zooming in too much. There are a few ways to fix it, don't crop so much, get a longer telephoto lens to zoom in more optically, or get a camera with more megapixels.
With that being said, I don't see any pixilating on that photo, looks good. The one suggestion that I have (and it's minor) is that it looks like it is a little blown out or over exposed on the white part of their heads. Other then than that, it looks good.

One more suggestion, when I was looking at it closer, it looks like you are focused on their bodies and feathers, and their heads are slightly out of focus. I think I would use a little larger depth of field in order to have their bodies and heads in focus.
Take the suggestions with a grain of salt, I'm just an amateur that makes a lot of mistakes and tries to fix them.

Those look a TON better than your other shots. No pixelation at all. Nice job

As long as you don't plan to print a large size it's fine.
