I see that term alot and have always wondered what "add warmth to a photo" really was and how is it added to a photo by changing the white balance settings?
thanks, Mike

Adding warmth is a generic term that means adjusting the color of an image into warmer tones. For example you can take a portrait subject and by adjusting the color slightly ad a golden tint to the skin tones. You might take a landscape in the evening time and add a little red to the color to enhance the colors in the sky. By changing the white balance you are telling the camera the subject has cooler colors than are present. The camera compensates by adding more warm colors
