guys a photo shop software ???

so my fiance just got a new mac with a 27 inch screen and wants to get the photo shop the full version and its $700. Anyone know if there is any kind of promotion or better options than $700, she remembers getting an offer for like 50% off a few months back but obviously didn't get it then

If you know a student or teacher - Adobe will verify it by having you send a copy of their ID and they will email you the product code. Depending on what you want it for you can download Gimp. It is a free download and will do just about the same as photoshop

You could also do the monthly subscription instead of buying it outright. Its like $35 a month if you sign up for a year. It would take you about two years to equal the same cost as the full price photoshop and you also get any upgrades for free if you do the sub. It may or may not be the right way to go but its another option that involves a lot less cash outlay initally.

i used my teacher sub check and then my daughter wanted it on lap top and used her report card on a different one.was going to be about 400 and something.got them both for about 137.00

Check on here. Darryl (Iguana Graphics) was selling a copy in the Misc forum. Could already be sold but it was the full version and I think he was asking something like $4-500.

As stated above d/l GIMP. She can be using it and learning it until you get photoshop. I d/led it and really like it. For free it is an AWESOME program.

Another option that i should have mentioned on my last post..

If your computer is Windows take a look at paint shop pro. It also does a lot of the same functions as Photoshop but only costs 99 bucks. I used it for a good while until i tossed my Windows pc in favor of a Mac.

If you know a teacher have them become a member of academic superstore and get their price. Often 200 bucks. Academicsuperstore.com

thanks guys for the help...........I think she is all gung ho on Photo-shop the full version.........she has gone about as far as you can with Photo-shop elements and with her getting the Mac she is ready for the next level
