Ill be at Dardanelle![]()
As the village idiot, I'm in need of some clarification...yet again.
1) I assume this is a team event?
2) MUST there be two, or can a person fish alone?
3) I see the entry fee is $75 per angler as stated on the main page. (see question number 2)
****I'm sure I know the answer to that is $150 per boat, just worded a little "razzle dazzle" to get your mind on the $75 instead of the $150.****
BUT, these next ones I cannot find, guess, or even assume to guess an answer for....ANYWHERE.
4) Is it the top three from each state that get to go to the main event?
5) WHO are the Proz?
6) How did they qualify?
7) Where'd they come from?
8) How many of them are there?
9) Are they paired as teams?
10) The top 100 will get a check at Toledo Bend?? WHAT? Where are all the boats coming from? I only see five states with tounaments?
I'm interested in fishing it, but, The best I can tell, this outfit sure has a buncha jumping monkeys, big flashy prizes, smoke and mirrors, and very little actuall information on their website.
I even found myself looking for a free ginsu knife link.
If they've explained this better to you Fred, please let me know.

I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
I agree.. I want to fish, but need more info.
Danny I agree its hard to follow, I have access to my State section and I'll try and clear up a few things this week. Please review my answers and if you have anymore questions I'll answer those as best I can.... keep in mind I never attened and big name college or goat roper university.... I have stayed at a Holiday Inn.
1. Yes the State Bass Qualifiers are team events. The main tournament is an individual event.
2. Yes you can fish alone but its $150 per boat for the state event
3. Same as answer number 2
4. The Top three teams from each state event gain free entry into the main event. Any person that pays the posted main event entry fee can fish in the main event. I don't know why its a titled a qualifier.
5. There are several Proz signed up for the main event....no Proz have signed for the state events as of yet.
6.There is no qualification for these tournaments.... Paid entry only.
7. Hmmm Mars, Venus, Texas.... lands far far away. LOL!!
8. Hopefully a bunch at the main event I'd like to meet a few as I'll host one of the weigh in sites.
9. You can fish it with two Persons in the boat for the main event, but you are fishing as an individual.
10. Micheal's theory is build it and they will come. He appears to have the backing and I have talked to some of the other directors and sponsors and its shaping up to be the event of the 2012 Season for Texas.
Again......I agree about the site.... it needs clarification and the knife set is a good idea that I'll suggest to Michael why not....
I agreed along with the other State directors to help Big Bass Mania conduct the state tournaments as long as it benefits the charities posted and teams are awarded the prizes stated.... We are still working on it as I type to make it an event for teams to enjoy and the communities that these will be hosted in. Many things will be announced in the coming weeks that will coincide with these events, country music bands, vendors ETC.

4. The Top three teams from EACH state event gain free entry into the main event. Any person that pays the posted main event entry fee can fish in the main event. I don't know why its a titled a qualifier.
There are three state events and ONE main event?
All you have to do is finish in the top three in ONE of the state events to get into the main event?
I assume that means no entry fee into the main event, since....Any person that pays for the main event can fish it.
If that is correct, does that mean..If a team qualifies, they get their entry fee FREE for the main event. EACH of the team members since it's no longer a team event?
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
The top three finishing teams in the state events for Arkansas, Michigan, Kentucky, Florida and Texas will win not only the positions posted payback but the addtional prizes below.
1st place - Both team members get free entry into the main event and rooms for the event weekend.
2nd Place - Both team members get free entry into the main event.
3rd Place - Both team members get free entry into the main event.
Arkansas will give teams 3 chances to earn the above Prizes.

Fred, tell us about the main event. Proz-vs-Joez, but, no Proz have obligated yet.
5 states, top 3= 15 teams. No longer a team event, so, looks like 30 boats to me. Do they fish by themselves? With a co-angler? An observer?
Claim to be paying back 100 places in the main event. IS this some event that's already been in place for past years and proven itself to be a huge draw?

This is a couple of questions I would like to know the answer to as well.
Fred, where did you go?
Yes there are Proz that have paid to enter the main event already, I don't know them all. But if you would like a list I'll get that for you.
Big Bass Mania makes money of all these events in every state although its not a great amount, they have themsevlves covered by sponsors and entries, they have had good draws in Texas in some of their events.
The Arkansas events guarantee the 1st place spot $5000 and the other 24 spots are based on a 140 boat turnout over a 2 day period.

Danny,
After talking with Micheal today he told me of at least a dozen Porz that are signed up for the main event off the top of his head and stated many more that he would have to pull up on his computers registration list to tell me but he said Ike, Ish, JT Tucker, H. Allen and many more where registered. Big Bass Mania cordinated the event to go along with the following weeks FLW event on a closer body of water, the Proz will be down that weekend to fish the ProZ VS JoeZ then they practice to fish their event the following weekend.
