Service Manual

I am really interested in learning more about my motor. I have a 2005 225 pro XS and I am looking for a good service manual with pictures and diagrams and such (I am a total beginner at this stuff but not afraid to turn wrench).

Examples of things I would like to be able to do are:
Check/replace thermostat
change filters
replace impeller
replace lower unit seals
various other jobs that aren't advanced...

I know there is a ton of information on here and I do really appreciate that, just looking for a second source.

i too like to play around--its easier to be able to check things and know what is happenning or not in time of trouble (which will eventually)
i also like to find the program to read the codes off the ecm
i asked for a manual for christmas so we'll check under the tree

Go to a dealer & get a factory manual. You will get the specs, maintenance schedules, diagrams & correct procedures. Anything else just seems a waste of paper IMO.
