I had a brand new sporty installed a few months ago and it is time to change the oil. What brand do you suggest and how much does it hold? I have read about the filling problems some have been having and faulty seals. What is the proper method for filling?
Mercury or Quicksilver High-Performance Gear Lube.
Depending on WHICH Sportmaster you have, the capacity can be anywhere from 24-28 ounces. One quart will suffice.

Actually I have one more question that I forgot to ask in the first post
Am I supposed to torque the prop to a certain number or is "just good and tight" good enough?
55 ft. lbs. is the torque spec for your "HD-Fat Shaft" gearcase model.
