    Confused about Pro XS lu

I have a 200 Pro XS, manufacture date of July, 2010. From what I've read on here I am confused as to which lower unit it has. Mine has the low water pick ups on the nose, but no built in torque tab. I thought both were on the same type lower unit.
Also a question about plugging upper three or four water pick-up holes: Does it void warranty since I am trying to keep water pressure up or would this be considered altering?

Thanks in advance for your needed help, Master.

    You have a fleet master.

The torquemaster has the cast in torque tab on the skeg.

At the top of the lu in the front it will jut out a bout a 1/2" or so. That is a verado LU, if it is vertical and has no torque tab in the skeg that is a fleetmaster.

So, Verado also has pick-up in the nose? Must be what I have if so, cause it does have an edge going forward just below the split.

Yes, it sounds like you have the Verado case.

Post your serial #, Don, will let you know for sure.

It's a Verado LU. How much water pressure do you have a top speed?

Not equipped with Smart Craft- yet. Guage shows 16-18 at 5800. Don't think it is right- shows 0 at idle. Hoping to get hooked up on Smart Craft with Don's help.

You won't show any H2O pressure at idle on an analog gauge.16-18 # at WOT is fine wouldn't go below 15.

    This is a Verado-design gearcase.

Plugging upper water inlet openings is NOT APPROVED for this gearcase design. The Verado case was not designed or intended for "partially surfaced" or heavily elevated applications.

You can run a wide array of Mercury props, including the Bravo 1-XS, Tempest Plus, Trophy Plus, Fury, and many others.

Engine mounting height should be adjusted so that you can maintain a MINIMUM of 15 psi at WOT (prefer to maintain 18+ psi for safe measure in turns).

Idle speed water pressure spec is 1-3 psi.
