Mark you wanted a high speed spinning Reel

Okuma has a new 6.0 to 1 spinning reel for 2010. Maybe something you may want to look into.

Fishing is much more than casting and retrieving and playing your catch. It's the wind in your face and the sound of wakening birds as the sun peeks over the horizon. It's discovering the magic in each new place and unlocking the mysteries that lure above and below the surface.

As I just made a 100yd cast, and see a school come up right behind me....I'd like to know...Why a 6:1 spinning reel?
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Or a 45' deep drop, hook a fish that is running 45 mph straight to the top..

Re: Mark you wanted a high speed spinning Reel (blueplate)

Mark, I have the standard trio 30 and love it. Will have it at the Sherwood bass club this Thursday for folks to look at.

The new HS models should be available this month. If you have a local tackle store in your area, encourage them to carry Okuma. Fish n stuff carries them and should be able to get them for you.

Drop my name and the BFN name as want to give the Federation some exposure with them as they are one of our sponsors.

Mark, we are sort tall fellers. I can't believe you've not adjusted your stance accordingly. Well, I can't believe BassMaster hasn't seen interviewed us and written an article.
    "dropshot kneel and reel"

This is where you drop your bait down, kneel on the deck, stick the rod tip in the water, get hit....and then begin to slowly stand up as you reel the fish in. Thus effectively "keeping up" with said rocketing skyward fish.

    Oh, wait.....Sorry......My bad.
We seem to never get the "hit" part.
    Well, it's a good idea....in theory.
