When you hook up the hose and muffs and block off the low water pick-up, should water be coming out of anywhere other than the pee hole?
Yes, you will see water leaking/exiting from MULTIPLE locations... prop hub, side anodes, openings just above gearcase on sides (some models), telltale fitting, and even perhaps the idle relief boot in some cases.
