Seriously, though, lots of slow fishing, flipping grass, laydowns, etc...
man its that bad out there? i figured the weather and recent rain ought to have that place hoppin? is it chocolate milk right now?
Choose a different lake. (that's almost not a joke).
BUT,
There is no BAD place to take your dad out for a fishing trip. Just because I can't seem to catch a fish right now, doesn't mean for you to change your plans.
Dress light, lots of cold water and ice. It's HOT HOT on Dardanelle right now.
Stay on the lower end of the lake. Your best chance of catching some fish "seem" to be down there (illinois bayou/Ouita area) and probably before 10:00am.
Water down there looks good and friends have been telling me they been catching em down there.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
what do you think about shoal bay skeeter? i heard that they were hitting frogs there but that has been a little while ago. if i do go to the lower lake any bait suggestions?
thanks
dan
I've head the same, but, not been to Shoal in a while.

if we go that mite be where we try. table rock is our 2nd choice. i have never fished it but have heard that its got a lot of fish in it.
Caught a few fish in mud creek area, Lilly pads next to deeper water.
thanks fador, thats where we plan on starting this weekend.
thanks for the info guys we decided to go to table rock. we caught about 30 largemouth, kentuckys, and whites. was a good day.
