EXTRA FUEL TANK UNDER THE FRONT DECK

I was fishing a tourney this weekend and a guy with a 20 XD had an extra 25 gallon custom tank under his bow storage. Does anyone know who does this. I saw the tank so I know it can be done. Thanks

Why would you even want that? that has to affect the handling and performance with that much weight up front?

I wonder if that's one of Morgan Graingers old bullets? Seems like I remember him having one like that.

The main reason is guys in this area will run 90+ miles one way at times in tournaments. I've done it more than once.

Ain't got a clue. Heck I got 2 in the rear that I don't even use...damn sure don't want another one in the front!

I think I can hold 52 gallons total...30 in the main tank, 11 in each auxiliary tank(i think that's right?) I know I can get on average around 6mpg if i'm not running just flat out WFO all the time...but even if you do the math at 5mpg that's 260 miles, or at 4.5mpg = 234 miles. Do you run further than that in a day??

Re: EXTRA FUEL TANK UNDER THE FRONT DECK (DLAB)

I fish alot of tournaments. 120 miles one way sometimes. I need the fuel. I don't think it has a big handling issue. After we blasted off and hit the river I was cruzing at 91 on the gps and he went by me. I dont think its an issue. You burn the front tank first. If you set your boat up properly its easy to hold the bow up.

You are a smart man. You must be from around here. I know Morgan and its not his old boat. I know who it is but would rather not put other peoples business on line. If you know Morgan you will know this guy also. Morgan kicks my butt every month by about 3 pounds. Its frustrating but he is a great fisherman. Glad to here from someone in this area that understands fuel.

Yea, I live in Monroeville but I used to fish out of liveoak when the fishin fever trail was launching there. We've ran to and locked through Claiborne lock. Made that trip many times, it's a haul for sure.

Bullets with the saddle tanks are kind of rare, so another option is good.

Trolling batteries on the left side, cranking battery and oil tank on the right side...Both tanks are right in front of them. The extra tanks are an option from Bullet.

Dual saddle tanks just take away from the rear storage compartments...basically the storage box goea straight down from the hinge on the storage lid.
