I was wondering what the best speeds some of you Bullet owners were seeing with a stock torquemaster. I've heard some reports of 84mph. How fast before blow out is an issue? Thanks

87 has been the number I would start worrying about.

Mike is correct, and the less trim you can use the better.
Best I have ever seen in my rig is 85.2, but it is HEAVY.
If you're pushing a 21, then you should be pretty safe.
best i saw was 86 with a 21xd with a modded 250xb, seemed fine, i did go to a sporty with 1.62's it then ran a best so far of 91.8 light load.
My best with my 21XD and a 04 225EFI is afishing load me and half tank of gas is 85.8 and no sign of blow out..

mine is 20xd with 250xb and TM. best is 86 and some change fully loaded with troller etc etc....has much more but balls not big enough to hold on for more. actually i ran out of space. i'm thinking 87 maxed out with TM, but that would be like PEAK PEAK in just about any boat...be super careful though.
i'm sure mine will do max out with a good driver close to 90s, but TM limited since it's a smaller 20fter. LOL!!! heard of some people doing it. i'll pass though!!!
good luck![]()
86.2 GPS on my 21 XDC I have had it blow out between 82 and 86.2 conditions had allot to do with it........+1 on the 87 when you creep up around there be on your toes and be ready to get out of it and mash it again to get the prop to grab!

It is but water and driver make a difference.
I have seen 86 before. empty with two people.
Rest in Peace Buddy Poche - Bayou Bullet.
I will miss you my dear friend.
I HAVE RUN A LITTLE OVER 89 MPH WITH MY OLD 250 PRO XS.20 XDC BULLET
I ran 89.5 MPH with a torquemaster on a 21xd/250xb and ran 90.5 MPH with a torquemaster on a 250XB on the 21SS ''plug''. To be safe I would stay under 87 MPH.

Paul,
Would you just go with the Sporty if these numbers are so close to blowout with the TM? Even though most of the 21's are running low to mid 80's I would think that the sporty would just resolve the fear of blowout on the mid to upper 80 mph boats at least? Would the Sporty be detremental to the performance of the low 80 mph boats?
