2010 225 pro xs red flaged by mercury

2010 225 pro xs with less than two hours run time. engine and jack plate are low as they will go. 30psi water pressure at 5000 rpm and up. but when you go in a curve it will drop to 0 sometimes .but when i called merc to see if i could plug top 3 water intakes they told me it would void my warranty. AND now that they are aware of the problem, they red flaged the engine.which means if i plug them i void my warranty AND if i dont its sure to have heat or water pressure codes stored in the ecu so will they even warranty it? what should i do?

Something don't sound right with your conversation with Merc.. Heck they even sell a Mercury plug kit just for this..

the only suggestion merc had was to put scoops over the water intakes.what concerns me most is they said the engine was red flagged which means they documented the problems im having .yet they left me no options to fix.but they told me all warrenty claims would be closly monitered.

also forgot to tell ya they said it sounded to them like bullet boats had a design flaw in their hulls.i think we all know whose wrong on that one.VERY displeased with merc customer service and they wont let me talk to anyone else.what now???

If you give them breathing room on an issue...they will just continue to breathe!!!! Hound them until you get an answer.

Help desks are only as good as the person talking. Ask to talk to somebody else and see if they give you the same story.

it seems there's only two people at customer service and both were no help.they finally put their supervisor on and that sure didn't go well.and they won't let me talk to any one else.have ran a merc over 20 years. have bought three new merc's and if i can't resolve this, the next may be a yami.

Engine height and size of jack plate are key things here,and what lower are you running..My 2010 250xs would lose press. in a turn also if I had it trimmed,but had 25psi going straight and on slight turns,this was due to me raising the engine to 3/4 below.At an inch below and lower everything was fine....So your jackplate being all the way down still could be too high..espeacialy on a tourque master..

update..a thank you goes out to bullet boats.they have resolved my water pressure problems .and mercury has removed the red flag on my engine.
