Buddy of mine just bought an older boat to play with! Got a few questions.

It's suppose to be a 89 17'6 trophy edition. Suppose to be approx. 100lbs heavier.

Have any of you guys ever seen one? I thought it was a 17v. but apparently it's not. He has bought something that I havenever heard of. We are just looking for any and all info. that we can get about this ride.

    Thanks Matt Mc

It was built by Bullet as a more "economical" boat from what I remember. I am not sure everything about them and I know Paul can tell you more. I read a post that he put up about them sometime ago about them.

so ya think this may be a rare boat? It looks just like the rest of the 17ftr's. It just has 176 on the rear sides, with bullet in the center of the side of the hull. I think he bought it thinking it was a 17v but when he registered it he found out it was something different.

Pretty sure Marty is right. Paul would know all the facts on it.

They aren't too rare around here from what i've seen on craigslist.

    Re: (jowens)

As was said, they were a "Econo" Bullet, diferent gel layout, but still built in the same molds. I believe they made a 19' Trophy too, but don't know for sure. Its a Bullet, just not your everyday typical Bullet. As long as its solid it should be a great boat

Cool we were just wondering. I have never heard of it. Maybe Paul will chime in when he gets time.

    Re: (BAMASTROKER)

I had a friend that had a promax/20vee combo.....didn't need hardly any positive trim to get that bow sky high

I always thought running a vee is about equivilent or running a comp hull boat.

How fast have you had it?

    Re: (mercury97)

your absolutely 100% right on the trim. just a figure of speech boat has been near triple digits not alot of room hear around home to many curves. gonna have to get it back out on some big water soon . as far as compared to comp, hull weight is lower on this boat than my old xd. i seldom ever hook to it i always hook to the stroker

    Re: (BAMASTROKER)

yeah, I knew what you where talking about on the trim thing

With a good speed prop and the motor jacked up.....that rig should run 102 mph+

If you wanna run straight for a while you either gonna have to come over here to the waterway (Lock B at beans ferry) or hit Pickwick. Besides....I still aint seen your boat anyway.
